Zeedijk

1981-1998

KWPN Grand Prix Horse

Lucky Boy keur x Rowillie keur preferent prestatie

Sidney was one of the first Dutch horses we imported from Holland.  Discovered in Friesland as a yearling on a potato farm, he was being prepared as a stallion prospect.

Sidney had a long and successful career . He won many awards in the USDF Horse of the Year program, was New England champion at Intermediare and 4th level, and won many high score awards through Grand Prix.

A note of interest: Lucky Boy was known as a sire of mainly jumpers. Although many of his offspring became successful through Intermediare, only two became Grand Prix dressage horses and BOTH of them were from the wonderful cross with the wonderful mare, Rowillie. Zeedijk and Balistro were full brothers.

Wassenaar was imported as a three year old stallion.  He was USDF Horse of the Year at Training level in 1985 and during his short career, performed like the champion he was at every level. He was in the HOTY standings through Fourth Level every year and was champion Dutch Warmblood in the All-Breeds Awards every year that he was shown.  He was schooling all of the Grand Prix when he was injured at 8 years old. He was humanely destroyed in 1990.
